Each mixtape is curated by a friend of Aloka — a sound healer, musician, or fellow traveler who knows what it means to listen deeply. Some of these songs are heard in our ceremonies. Others live in the quiet hours before and after. All of them were chosen with intention.
Aloka — Mixtape 004
Mixtape 004 is curated by Jason Lasley — longtime Aloka collaborator and a deeply attuned holder of sonic space. Jason moves between worlds with rare ease: ceremonial and contemporary, earthen and ethereal, devotional and dreamlike.

Mixtape 003 travels wide. Where 001 reached toward stillness and 002 went deep into Indian devotion, this one circles the globe — and somehow it all lands in the same place.

This one goes deeper into the source. Mixtape 002 is almost entirely Indian classical and devotional music — bhajan, raga, mantra — the tradition that underlies much of what happens in Graham's ceremonies.
