Join us for a transformative sound healing experience on the winter solstice—the darkest night of the year and the moment when light begins its return. In the spirit of aloka (Sanskrit for "light" or "illumination"), we gather to honor both the darkness that invites us inward and the eternal light that dwells within.

Through the resonant frequencies of crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and voice, we'll create a sacred sonic sanctuary that guides you through the threshold of winter's deepest night into the promise of returning light.

More About Graham

Overview

Opening Ceremony
We begin with a candlelighting ritual, setting intentions for release and renewal as we honor the turning of the wheel.

Sound Bath Journey
Lie down, close your eyes, and surrender to the healing vibrations. The carefully orchestrated soundscape will move through three phases:

  • Descent into Darkness - Deep, grounding tones invite you to release what no longer serves

  • The Still Point - In the profound silence between sounds, discover the light that never goes out

  • Awakening Light - Ascending frequencies welcome the return of hope and new beginnings

Integration & Closing Circle
Gentle return and optional sharing in community.

What to Expect

  • Welcoming Atmosphere: Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the warm, calming ambiance of the Aloka — Sound Bath House. The space is designed to feel safe and inviting, with soft lighting and a serene environment to help you settle in.

  • Guided Settling-In: The session begins with a brief introduction and gentle guidance to help you feel grounded and present. Facilitators may offer light breathwork or mindfulness prompts to ease you into the experience.

  • Immersive Sound Journey: As you lie down or sit comfortably, you’ll be enveloped by the rich, layered sounds of crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, harmonium, wave drum, handpan, and Koshi chimes. The vibrations will flow through the space, creating a dynamic and meditative soundscape that evolves throughout the session.

  • Personal Experience: You may feel a range of sensations, from deep relaxation to emotional release, or even vivid imagery and insights. Some participants drift into a meditative or dream-like state, while others simply enjoy the soothing vibrations. Every experience is unique and valid.

  • Comfort and Ease: The intimate group size ensures plenty of space to relax. You’re welcome to adjust your position, use props like blankets or bolsters, or even sit up if that feels best for you.

  • Gentle Closing: The sound bath concludes with a gradual transition back to the present moment, often with a few moments of silence to integrate the experience. Facilitators may offer a brief closing reflection or gratitude practice.

  • Post-Session Connection: After the session, you’ll have the opportunity to share your experience (optional) or simply enjoy a moment of quiet connection with others. You may leave feeling refreshed, grounded, or deeply introspective.
