Silent Resonance: Earmuffed Proximity Sound Bath offers a transformative twist on traditional sound healing, blending muted auditory input with intense physical vibrations. Participants wear noise-canceling earmuffs to soften the sound of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, allowing the focus to shift to powerful tactile sensations resonating through the body. Arranged in an intimate circle with bowls placed inches from each person, and with Tibetan bowls and tuning forks directly on the body, this experience creates a "silent" symphony where vibrations speak louder than sound.

Class Overview

This 60-minute sound bath invites small group of 6 participants into a serene studio for a deeply embodied healing session. Led by experienced sound practitioner, Graham Slick, the event begins with a grounding meditation to center the group. Participants lie in a circular formation, fostering communal energy, with crystal bowls positioned close to the head, torso, and limbs. Tibetan singing bowls are gently placed on the chest or abdomen, and tuning forks are applied to key points like the forehead, sternum, or joints. Noise-canceling earmuffs mute the bowls’ tones, creating a distant hum while amplifying the vibrations felt through mats, air, skin, and direct contact. No prior experience is needed—just bring an open mind and wear comfortable clothing.

What to Expect

Arrive 15 minutes early to settle in and receive your high-quality noise-canceling earmuffs. You’ll lie on a provided yoga mat in a circle, with pillows and blankets for comfort. After a brief grounding meditation, the practitioner will place a Tibetan singing bowl on your chest or abdomen and use tuning forks on areas like your forehead or joints. Crystal bowls will surround you closely, creating a cocoon of vibration. With earmuffs on, expect a soft, distant hum, while the vibrations—felt through the mat, air, and direct contact—may manifest as gentle pulses, warmth, or tingling, like an internal massage.

The experience is passive: simply relax and breathe. Some may feel energy shifts, emotional insights, or a sense of lightness. Hydrate beforehand, as vibrations can heighten bodily awareness. Inform the facilitator of any medical conditions (e.g., pacemakers or pregnancy) to ensure safe placement of bowls and forks. Dress in loose layers and leave feeling grounded, rejuvenated, and attuned to your body’s silent resonance.
